Aunty Mona’s Green Mango Chutney
A tangy and spicy chutney made from green mangoes, green chillies, sugar, and mustard oil. Perfect as a condiment for curries, rice, bhajis, pakoras, or samosas.

- 2 green mangoes, peeled and flesh roughly chopped

Step 1.
Place the peeled and roughly chopped green mango flesh in a food processor along with the 2 green chillies. Blitz until the mixture is roughly chopped, with some texture remaining.

Transfer the chopped mango and chilli mixture to a mixing bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and half of the sugar (about 2.5 tablespoons). Stir well to combine.

Stir in the 4 tablespoons of mustard oil until fully incorporated. Taste the chutney and adjust seasoning: add more sugar if it tastes too sharp, or more salt if needed, balancing the sourness of the green mango.

Transfer the chutney to a sterilized jar, seal, and store in the refrigerator. It will keep for up to 4 days.
