Gather these ingredients - no prep needed yet.
- 2 ½ sticks (10 ounces) unsalted butter
- 1 ¼ cups smooth peanut butter or tahini
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 4 ½ cups powdered sugar, sifted

Step 1.
Line an 8-inch square pan with buttered parchment paper or foil that extends over two sides. Combine in a large saucepan: 2 ½ sticks (10 ounces) unsalted butter; 1 ¼ cups smooth peanut butter or tahini

Cook over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from the heat and add: 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla; ¼ teaspoon salt

Stir in: 4 ½ cups powdered sugar, sifted

Mix well to combine. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Cover the fudge directly with a piece of plastic wrap. Chill until firm. Cut the fudge into 1-inch squares and store.
