- Chop 1 apple
- Chop 118 ml prunes

Step 1.
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat.

Stir in 1 cup rolled oats and ½ tsp salt. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until the oatmeal is thick and mushy, about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat. For basic oatmeal, top with brown sugar and a splash of cream. For apple cinnamon oatmeal, stir in a chopped apple and 1 tsp cinnamon before serving. For prune dee-lite oatmeal, stir in ½ cup chopped prunes during the last few minutes of cooking, allowing them to soften.
