DARK AND NOT SO Stormy
A lighter riff on the classic Dark 'n' Stormy cocktail, using fresh ginger and sparkling water to reduce sugar. The balance of spicy ginger and molasses-rich rum creates a refreshing maritime drink.

- 1 fresh ginger root
- 7.09 g Coconut Sugar Simple Syrup
- 56.7 g Gosling's Black Seal rum
- 14.2 g freshly squeezed lime juice
- 113 g club soda or Pellegrino sparkling mineral water
- Lime wedge
- Fresh mint sprig
- 946 ml dry red wine
- 118 ml Ancho Reyes verde, chile poblano liqueur
- 118 ml fresh lime juice
- 237 ml cubed papaya (1-inch pieces)
- 237 ml cubed cantaloupe (1-inch pieces)
- 1 orange quartered and sliced thin
- 3 sprig fresh mint

- 1 orange, quartered and sliced thin

Step 1.
In a tall Collins glass or pint glass, muddle the fresh ginger slice with the Coconut Sugar Simple Syrup until the ginger is bruised and fragrant.

Add the Gosling’s Black Seal rum and freshly squeezed lime juice to the glass, then fill the glass with ice.

Top off with club soda or Pellegrino sparkling mineral water, and garnish with a lime wedge and fresh mint sprig.
