Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

Blend well in a large bowl: Two 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened; ⅓ cup grated Parmesan; ¼ cup mayonnaise; ¼ cup finely chopped green onion; 2 tablespoons finely chopped carrot; 2 tablespoons finely chopped celery; (1 teaspoon drained prepared horseradish); ½ teaspoon salt

  2. Step 2.

Place the mixture on a large piece of plastic wrap. Bring up the edges of the wrap and form the mixture into a ball. Place in a small deep bowl to help it hold its shape and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. When it is firm, roll the cheese ball in: 1 cup chopped toasted walnuts or pecans

  3. Step 3.

Press the nuts to make them adhere. The cheese ball can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
