- 1 lime, sliced thin
- 1 orange, sliced thin
- 118 ml brown sugar, packed

Step 1.
Place the lemon, lime, and orange slices in a 1-gallon zip-top food storage bag. Add the brown sugar and rum, seal the bag, and gently massage to combine. Refrigerate overnight, or up to 3 days, to marinate the fruit.

At serving time, in a large punch bowl, stir together the red wine, brewed black tea, orange juice, lemon juice, bourbon, cognac, and brandy until well combined. Add the marinated fruit slices from the bag, including any liquid.

Just before serving, pour in the Champagne and stir gently. Add crushed ice to your preference—more ice will dilute the punch and reduce potency. Serve immediately.
