    Preheat the oven to 400°F. Have ready: 8 ounces small pitted dates, such as Deglet Noor or Halawi; 1 pound sliced bacon, cut into 3-inch pieces

    Tuck inside each date: 1 Marcona or roasted almond (35 to 40 total)

    Wrap one length of bacon around each date. Place seam side down on a wire rack set on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake until the bacon is crisp and well browned, 15 to 18 minutes. Serve warm.
