Let's Prepare

Collect

Gather these ingredients — no prep needed yet.

  • 454 g ground turkey
  • 4.93 ml chili powder
  • Kosher salt
  • 0.5 avocado
  • 9.86 ml lime juice
  • 4 toasted whole-grain sandwich thins
  • Tomato
  • cucumber
  • lettuce
  • sprouts

Prepare

  • Chop 118 ml fresh cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • Olive oil, for misting or brushing

Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped cilantro, pressed garlic, chili powder, and 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt. Mix gently until just combined, then form into four patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each to help them cook evenly. Spray or brush both sides of the patties with olive oil.

  2. Step 2.

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Working in two batches to avoid overcrowding, place the patties in the air fryer basket and cook for 5-6 minutes. Flip the patties and continue cooking until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F, about 5-6 more minutes. While the patties cook, prepare the avocado topping.

  3. Step 3.

In a small bowl, mash the avocado with the lime juice until smooth. Season with a pinch of salt if desired. While the burgers are cooking, toast the whole-grain sandwich thins if desired.

  4. Step 4.

Place the cooked turkey burgers on the toasted sandwich thins. Top each with the mashed avocado, then add tomato slices, cucumber slices, lettuce, and sprouts as desired. Serve immediately with prepared frozen sweet potato fries cooked according to package directions.
