Let's Cook
-
Step 1.
Finely chop the parsley and place it in a large mixing bowl. Add the paprika, cumin, ground ginger, chilli powder, minced beef, and a generous pinch of salt. Mix everything together thoroughly, squeezing the mixture through your fists for best results.
-
Step 2.
Divide the beef mixture into 2 equal portions and shape each into a patty. Press your thumb into the center of each patty to create a small indent; this helps the burgers cook evenly.
-
Step 3.
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan or skillet over high heat. Place the burgers in the pan with the indented side facing up. Cook for 4 minutes, then flip the burgers, reduce the heat to medium-low, and cook for another 3 minutes. Top each burger with half of the blue cheese and cook for 1 minute more, until the burgers are cooked through and juicy and the cheese has melted.
-
Step 4.
While the burgers cook, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl and mix well. Split the burger buns in half and spread the mayonnaise evenly over the bottom halves. Divide the lettuce leaves over the mayonnaise. Once the burgers are done, place them on the lettuce, top with the bun tops, and serve immediately.
