Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

Prepare 1 batch Classic Sugar Cookie Dough according to the recipe on this page. Roll out the dough and cut into reindeer and tree shapes using cookie cutters. Place on baking sheets and chill as directed.

  2. Step 2.

Bake the cookies per the Classic Sugar Cookie Dough recipe instructions until lightly golden around the edges. Let cool completely on wire racks before decorating.

  3. Step 3.

Prepare red, green, white, and gold Royal Icing according to the recipe on this page. Divide into separate bowls and tint as needed.

  4. Step 4.

Decorate the cooled cookies with Royal Icing as desired. For reindeer, pipe antlers with gold icing and add a red nose; for trees, pipe green icing and decorate with sanding sugars and silver or gold sugar pearls. Let icing set completely before serving or storing.
