Prepare

  • Chop chopped white onions

Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

    Prepare a steamer or a pot with a steamer basket and bring water to a simmer. Place an all-beef hot dog and a classic hot dog bun in the steamer, cover, and steam for 3–5 minutes until the hot dog is heated through and the bun is soft and warm.

  2. Step 2.

    Remove the steamed hot dog and bun from the steamer. Place the hot dog into the bun.

  3. Step 3.

    Spread a thin layer of yellow mustard along the top of the hot dog.

  4. Step 4.

    Top the mustard with a generous handful of chopped white onions and a handful of sauerkraut. Serve immediately.
