Koi Paste Food
A homemade koi fish food paste made from shrimp, vegetables, wheat germ, and supplements. It is prepared by blending ingredients, rolling out, refrigerating, and cutting into cubes for freezing.

- 113 g shrimp cooked and peeled
- 118 ml peas cooked or frozen and squeezed out of their skins
- 118 ml carrots slightly cooked
- 118 ml spinach cooked chopped
- 118 ml Calcium Montmorillonite
- 237 ml wheat germ
- 1 egg
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 orange juice
- 1 multi vitamin/mineral pill
- 1 Knox gelatin dissolved in about 1/8 cup hot water

- 1 multi vitamin/mineral pill

- 113 g shrimp, cooked and peeled
- 118 ml peas, cooked or frozen and squeezed out of their skins
- 118 ml carrots, slightly cooked
- 118 ml spinach, cooked chopped
- 1 Knox gelatin, dissolved in about 1/8 cup hot water
Let's Cook

Step 1.
In a food processor, combine 1/4 lb cooked peeled shrimp or imitation crab, 1/2 cup peas (cooked or frozen and squeezed out of skins), 1/2 cup slightly cooked carrots, 1/2 cup cooked chopped spinach, 1/2 cup Calcium Montmorillonite, 1 cup wheat germ, 1 egg, 1 clove garlic, a dash of orange juice, 1 multi vitamin/mineral pill, and 1 envelope Knox gelatin dissolved in about 1/8 cup hot water. Pulse everything to a coarse paste.

Step 2.
Stir in about 1 cup wheat germ until well combined.

Step 3.
Spread the mixture to about 1/4-inch thickness on waxed paper. Place a second sheet of waxed paper over the top and roll evenly to achieve uniform thickness.

Refrigerate until firm, then cut into 1/4-inch cubes. Freeze the cubes for later feeding.
