Let's Cook
-
Step 1.
Pour 6 cups of Poultry Stock, Chicken Broth, Beef Broth, Vegetable Broth, or Parmesan Broth into a medium saucepan. Place over medium-high heat and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
-
Step 2.
Once the broth is simmering, season it to taste with salt and pepper. Add 16 to 20 Kreplach, Pierogi, Pelmeni, Tortellini, Ravioli, Wontons, or Vegetable Wontons to the pot.
-
Step 3.
Return the broth to a bare simmer (gentle bubbles) and cook until the dumplings float to the surface, about 2 to 3 minutes. If using Pelmeni (which contain raw meat), cook for an additional 4 minutes after they float to ensure they are fully cooked through.
-
Step 4.
Using a slotted spoon, divide the cooked dumplings evenly among 4 soup bowls. Then ladle the hot broth over the dumplings in each bowl.
-
Step 5.
If desired, garnish each bowl with any of the following: shredded carrot or radish, tender greens such as arugula or watercress, thinly sliced green onions, or finely chopped parsley, cilantro, or dill.
