- 2 sticks (8 ounces) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- ½ teaspoon grated or ground nutmeg
- ¼ cup brandy, Cognac, dark rum, or orange juice
- (Grated zest of 1 orange)
