Step 1.
Place in the bottom of a 4- to 6-cup ring mold, tube pan, or Bundt pan: Fresh strawberries, cherries, raspberries, or cranberries, or thin slices of citrus fruit; Sprigs of fresh mint, thyme, or sweet woodruff

Cover with ice cubes or crushed ice, then add enough water to cover the fruit, herbs, and ice and freeze. When ready to serve, dip the bottom of the mold in cold water for a few moments, and invert onto a plate. Slide the ice ring into a punch bowl to float in the drink.
