A quick homemade cocoa syrup made from cocoa powder, sugar, and water. It can be used to make hot or cold cocoa drinks and keeps for weeks in the refrigerator.

Gather these ingredients - no prep needed yet.
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 cup cold water
- (½ cup malted milk powder)

Step 1.
Whisk together in a medium saucepan: 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder; ¾ cup sugar

Add and stir to combine: 1 cup cold water; (½ cup malted milk powder)

Bring just to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and let cool. Store covered at room temperature for several days, or refrigerate for up to 3 weeks. To liquefy refrigerated syrup, heat on the stove or in the microwave.
