Step 1.
If using homemade mango chutney, prepare it according to your recipe and set aside.

In a small skillet, warm a little olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced white onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft and translucent, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Panfry a chicken dog on a flattop or in a skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until heated through and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Place the cooked chicken dog in a classic bun. Add a dash of tamarind paste, a smear of mango chutney, and a handful of the cooked onions. Serve immediately.
