Let's Prepare

Collect

Gather these ingredients - no prep needed yet.

  • chicken breasts
  • cheese
  • 0.25 can water
  • stuffing
  • butter

Prepare

  • soup, diluted and mixed
  • Melt 1/4 cup melted butter
  • spinach, defrosted, chopped

Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

Place the chicken breasts in a 9x12-inch baking pan in a single layer.

  2. Step 2.

Cover the chicken breasts evenly with slices of cheese (such as Swiss or provolone).

  3. Step 3.

In a small bowl, mix one can of condensed cream of mushroom soup with 1/4 can of water until smooth. Pour the diluted soup over the cheese-covered chicken.

  4. Step 4.

Sprinkle a layer of dry stuffing mix (preferably Pepperidge Farm brand, not cubed style) evenly over the soup. Drizzle melted butter (about 1/4 cup) over the stuffing.

  5. Step 5.

Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for about 40 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the stuffing is golden and crispy. If desired, add a layer of thawed, chopped spinach under the chicken before baking. Serve with rice or noodles.
