Let's Prepare

Collect

Gather these ingredients — no prep needed yet.

  • very ripe avocados
  • lemon juice
  • 2 Roma tomatoes
  • scallions
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • garlic salt
  • 14.8 ml nonfat sour cream
  • 3 Tabasco sauce
  • Miracle Whip Light
  • Tortilla chips

Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

Mash 2 to 3 very ripe avocados in a bowl. Immediately add enough lemon juice to coat the avocado and prevent browning.

  2. Step 2.

Dice 2 Roma tomatoes, then squeeze or wring out all excess juice from the tomatoes. Add the drained tomatoes to the mashed avocado.

  3. Step 3.

Slice a generous amount of scallions (or red onion) into small pieces and add them to the avocado mixture.

  4. Step 4.

Season the guacamole with salt, black pepper, and garlic salt to taste. Add 1 tablespoon nonfat sour cream and 3 drops Tabasco sauce. Stir to combine, taste, and adjust seasonings as needed. For best results, have both a man and a woman taste and then decide on final adjustments.

  5. Step 5.

Add a dollop of Miracle Whip Lite (about 1 tablespoon) and stir until the guacamole is smooth and the color lightens slightly. Be careful not to add too much—just enough to achieve a creamy texture.

  6. Step 6.

While the guacamole rests, preheat the oven to 400°F. Spread tortilla chips on a baking sheet and heat in the oven just until warm, up to 5 minutes. Watch carefully so they don't burn. Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt.

  7. Step 7.

Turn on a football game (or your preferred entertainment) and serve the guacamole with the warm tortilla chips.
