MINT Julep
A classic Kentucky bourbon cocktail with fresh mint and simple syrup, served over crushed ice.

- 5 sprig fresh mint
- 1/4 lbs bourbon

Step 1.
Fill a glass with crushed ice. Add 1 tablespoon simple syrup and 5 or 6 sprigs of fresh mint to the glass. Gently muddle the mint with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release its oils, being careful not to tear the leaves.

Pour 4 ounces of top-quality Kentucky bourbon into the glass over the mint and syrup. Stir briefly to combine, then serve immediately with a straw.
