Basic Tomato Sauce
A simple and classic tomato sauce made with canned Italian plum tomatoes, onions, and herbs. Perfect for pizza or pasta.
Ingredients
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cup canned Italian-style plum tomatoes
- 1 tomato paste
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp oregano

- 1/2 tsp salt

- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp oregano
Prepare
- Chop 1 cup onion

Saute onions in olive oil over medium heat until transparent.

Add remaining ingredients (except oregano) and stir. Simmer uncovered 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
