Tuna Steak
A simple seared tuna steak seasoned with coriander, fennel, and pepper. Grilled quickly for a rare center, finished with lemon and oil.

- 4.93 ml Coriander
- salt
- fennel

Prepare
- Tuna Steak, 1" thick
Let's Cook

Step 1.
Start with 1 or 2 1-inch thick tuna steaks.

Step 2.
In a mortar and pestle, combine 1 tsp coriander, a pinch of salt, a pinch of fennel, and pepper; grind together.

Pre-heat pans to high.

Step 4.
Season a board with the spice mixture.

Step 5.
Place steaks on the board and massage in a bit of olive oil.

Step 6.
Place tuna in a non-stick or griddle pan.

Step 7.
Grill for 1.5 to 2 minutes each side until seared. Watch the sides; if it cooks over 50% through the first side, it is overdone.

Step 8.
Let it rest for 1-2 minutes when done.

Sprinkle on some lemon and oil (or better yet, lemon oil).
