Let's Prepare

Collect

Gather these ingredients — no prep needed yet.

  • 29.6 ml olive oil
  • 2.46 ml salt
  • 2.46 ml chilli powder
  • 4.93 ml ground cumin
  • 4 corn on the cob

Prepare

  • Halve 1 lime

Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

Preheat the grill/broiler to high and line a grill pan with foil, or prepare a barbecue/grill for cooking.

  2. Step 2.

In a small bowl, combine 2 tbsp olive oil, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp chilli powder, and 1 tsp ground cumin. Stir to mix well.

  3. Step 3.

Cut 1 lime in half. Dip the cut sides of the lime halves into the oil-and-spice mixture, then rub the mixture all over the 4 corn on the cob, re-dipping the lime as needed, until the corn is well coated.

  4. Step 4.

Place the corn onto the prepared grill pan and under the grill, or directly onto the barbecue. Cook for 10–15 minutes, turning regularly and basting with any remaining spiced oil, until the corn is lightly charred and golden all over. Serve hot.
