Let's Cook
-
Step 1.
Place a sugar cube in the bottom of an Old Fashioned glass. Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters directly onto the sugar cube. Using a muddler, gently crush and stir the sugar cube with the bitters until the sugar is mostly dissolved and the mixture forms a paste-like consistency.
-
Step 2.
Fill the glass with ice cubes (preferably one large ice cube or several smaller ones). Pour 2 ounces of bourbon over the ice.
-
Step 3.
Stir the bourbon and ice together for about 20-30 seconds to chill and dilute the drink slightly.
-
Step 4.
Twist a strip of lemon peel over the glass to release its oils, then rub the rim of the glass with the peel. Drop the lemon twist into the drink as a garnish.
