Mary’s Lemon-Bourbon Sidecars
A bourbon twist on the classic sidecar cocktail, made with fresh Meyer lemon juice and orange liqueur. This refreshing drink is a signature at the Burgerhouse bar.

Step 1.
Pour the 2 tablespoons sugar into a shallow dish. Rub the rims of two sidecar glasses with a Meyer lemon wedge, then dip the rims into the sugar to coat them evenly.

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes or crushed ice. Add the ½ cup freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice, ½ cup bourbon, and ¼ cup orange liqueur (preferably Cointreau, or substitute maple syrup or honey simple syrup).

Cover the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled. Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses and serve immediately.
