  • 1 Meyer lemon wedge
  • 118 ml freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice
  • 118 ml bourbon
  • 59.1 ml orange liqueur

Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

    Pour the 2 tablespoons sugar into a shallow dish. Rub the rims of two sidecar glasses with a Meyer lemon wedge, then dip the rims into the sugar to coat them evenly.

    Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes or crushed ice. Add the ½ cup freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice, ½ cup bourbon, and ¼ cup orange liqueur (preferably Cointreau, or substitute maple syrup or honey simple syrup).

  3. Step 3.

    Cover the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled. Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses and serve immediately.
