Step 1.
In a food processor, combine the 2 cups cooked chickpeas, ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil or avocado oil, 2 tablespoons tahini, 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 minced clove garlic, and ¼ teaspoon sea salt. Blend for 3 to 4 minutes, stopping to scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula as needed, until the hummus is smooth and creamy.
