- 3/8 lbs Champagne, chilled

Step 1.
Place a sugar cube in a small dish and saturate it with 2 to 3 dashes of Angostura bitters, turning to coat evenly.

Drop the bitters-soaked sugar cube into the bottom of a Champagne flute.

Pour 1 ounce of brandy into the flute over the sugar cube.

Fill the flute with 6 ounces of chilled Champagne, pouring gently to preserve bubbles.
