- Freeze 8 cup seedless watermelon cubes
Let's Cook
-
Step 1.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine 2 cups water, 1 cup granulated sugar, and 1½ cups freshly squeezed lime juice. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool completely, about 20 minutes.
-
Step 2.
While the syrup cools, cut 8 cups of seedless watermelon into cubes and freeze them on a baking sheet until solid, at least 2 hours or overnight.
-
Step 3.
Add the cooled syrup, frozen watermelon cubes, 1 cup silver tequila, and ½ cup triple sec to a blender. Blend on high until smooth and slushy, about 30-60 seconds. Scrape down sides if needed.
-
Step 4.
Wet the rims of 4-6 glasses with a lime wedge, then dip them in coarse salt to coat. Fill each glass with the margarita mixture. Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and a slice of fresh watermelon before serving.
