Step 1.
Prepare the wasabi mayonnaise and katsu sauce from scratch if using homemade recipes; set aside.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the all-beef hot dog, turning occasionally, until heated through and lightly charred, about 5–7 minutes.

While the hot dog grills, split the Hawaiian sweet roll open and lightly toast it on the grill or in a toaster until warm and slightly golden.
