    Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease a 13 × 9-inch baking dish. Stir together in a large bowl: 2 cups sour cream; 1 pound cottage cheese; 1 pound cream cheese, softened; 3 large eggs; ½ cup sugar; 2 teaspoons vanilla; 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon; ½ teaspoon salt

    Cook in a large pot of boiling salted water until slightly undercooked: 1 pound dried egg noodles

    Drain, add to the cheese mixture, and stir together well. Pour into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 1 ½ hours. Meanwhile, stir together in a small bowl: (¾ cup dark or golden raisins); ½ cup packed dark brown sugar; ½ cup chopped toasted walnuts; 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour; 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon; 2 tablespoons butter, softened

    Sprinkle over the top of the casserole. Bake for 30 minutes more, until browned. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
