Step 1.
Halve 3 Scotch bonnet or habanero peppers. Combine the reposado tequila and halved peppers in a quart container or pitcher. Cover and let infuse at room temperature for 24 hours.

After 24 hours, strain the infused tequila through a fine-mesh strainer back into the original tequila bottle. Discard the peppers. Store the infused tequila at room temperature for up to 1 month.
