Let's Cook
-
Step 1.
Warm store-bought chili or prepare homemade chili according to your recipe. Keep the chili warm over low heat while you prepare the hot dogs.
-
Step 2.
Grill or steam an all-beef or beef and pork hot dog until heated through and lightly charred if grilling, about 5-7 minutes.
-
Step 3.
Place the cooked hot dog into a classic bun. Add a line of yellow mustard along one side of the hot dog.
-
Step 4.
Spoon a generous pile of warm chili over the mustard, covering the hot dog.
-
Step 5.
Top the chili with as much creamy coleslaw as the bun will hold, then sprinkle with chopped or sliced white onions if desired. Serve immediately.
