- 2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 2 cup peanuts
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 tsp soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Let's Cook

Step 1.
Mix sugar, water, and light corn syrup in a heavy covered pot over moderate heat.

Bring to 238°F or soft crack stage.

Add 2 cups of peanuts and stir constantly until mixture reaches 290°F or hard crack stage (do not exceed).

Step 4.
Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon butter, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda, and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Pour onto 3 buttered cookie sheets.
