Collect

Gather these ingredients — no prep needed yet.

  • 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 1 pack German chocolate cake mix
  • 3/8 lbs semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/8 lbs peanut butter chips
  • 3/8 lbs butterscotch chips
  • 3/8 lbs almond brickle chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 7/8 lbs sweetened condensed milk

Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-by-13-inch rectangular pan with butter or nonstick spray.

  2. Step 2.

In a medium bowl, use a fork to stir the melted butter into the cake mix until a very stiff dough forms.

  3. Step 3.

Using a rubber spatula, press the dough evenly into the bottom of the greased pan.

  4. Step 4.

Layer the semisweet chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, almond brickle chips, and chopped nuts evenly over the dough.

  5. Step 5.

Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top of the chips and nuts.

  6. Step 6.

Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly. The edges should be set and the center slightly jiggly.

  7. Step 7.

Cool the pan completely on a wire rack, about 1 hour, before cutting into 1½-inch squares.
