Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

    Preheat the broiler.

Panfry an all-beef hot dog on a flattop or in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned and heated through, about 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally.

  3. Step 3.

Place the cooked hot dog in a sesame seed bun. Smear brown mustard along the inside of the bun.

  4. Step 4.

Lay a couple slices of Swiss cheese on top of the hot dog. Transfer the assembled hot dog on a baking sheet.

  5. Step 5.

Broil the hot dog until the cheese is melted and bubbly, 1 to 2 minutes. Watch closely to prevent burning.

  6. Step 6.

Top the hot dog with a pile of sauerkraut and a sprinkling of caraway seeds. Serve immediately.
