Let's Prepare

Collect

Gather these ingredients — no prep needed yet.

  • 1/2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Kosher salt
  • 1 cup mango juice
  • 3/4 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar

Prepare

  • 0.5 jalapeño, cut in half
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

On a small plate, combine the chili powder, sugar, and ½ tablespoon kosher salt. Stir with a fork to mix evenly.

  2. Step 2.

In a small pitcher, combine the mango juice, tequila, fresh lime juice, agave nectar (or honey), and the halved jalapeño. Stir to blend. Refrigerate for 1 to 3 hours, until the mixture takes on a slight spicy kick. Discard the jalapeño halves before serving.

  3. Step 3.

When ready to serve, run a lime wedge along the rims of 2 glasses to moisten them. Dip each rim into the chili-sugar-salt mixture to coat evenly. Fill each glass with ice, then pour the margarita mixture over the ice. Serve immediately with lime wedges.
