Large shrimp marinated in olive oil, white wine, lemon juice, herbs, and garlic, then grilled or broiled until opaque. Served with melted butter or lemon parsley butter.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds large shrimp (16⁄20)
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons basil and parsley chopped together
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

    • 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
    • 1 ½ to 2 tablespoons lemon juice, to taste
    • Salt to taste

    1. Beat together in a medium bowl: 1 stick (4 ounces) butter, softened; 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley; 1 ½ to 2 tablespoons lemon juice, to taste; Salt to taste

    Peel, leaving the tails on, and devein: 2 pounds large shrimp (16⁄20)

    Combine in a large bowl: ½ cup olive oil; ½ cup white wine; 1 tablespoon lemon juice; 3 tablespoons basil and parsley chopped together; 2 garlic cloves, minced; 1 teaspoon salt; ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  3. Step 3.

    Add the shrimp, turning to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for several hours. Prepare a hot grill fire or preheat the broiler. Grill or broil the shrimp, turning once, until opaque throughout, 4 to 7 minutes. Serve at once with: Melted butter or Lemon and Parsley Butter
