Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

    In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and softened butter together with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes.

    Mix in the vanilla extract until combined.

    Gradually add the sifted confectioners' sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, beating on low speed after each addition until smooth. Increase speed to medium and beat until fluffy, about 1 minute.

    Store the frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Before using, let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes and stir if needed.
