- Shred 1/2 cup creamy Havarti cheese
- Shred 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese

Step 1.
In a medium saucepan over high heat, combine 3 cups water and ½ cup heavy cream. Bring to a full boil.

Once boiling, slowly sprinkle in 1 cup quick grits while whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the grits are thick and creamy.

Add 4 tablespoons salted butter, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, ½ cup shredded Havarti cheese, and ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Stir until the butter and cheese are fully melted and the grits are smooth and creamy. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
