Prepare Vanilla Ice Cream, omitting the vanilla or vanilla bean. Bring the cream or milk mixture to a simmer as directed and add ¼ cup crushed or coarsely ground coffee beans. Remove from the heat, cover, and steep for 30 minutes. Strain into a medium bowl; discard the coffee beans. Proceed as directed.
