- 12 slices white bread, lightly toasted
- Mayonnaise (about 4 ½ tablespoons total)
- 8 lettuce leaves
- 8 ounces thinly sliced turkey breast or chicken

- 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
- 12 slices bacon, cooked until crisp (about 12 ounces)
- (1 avocado, pitted, peeled, and sliced)

Step 1.
Lay out on a work surface: 12 slices white bread, lightly toasted

Step 2.
Spread lightly with: Mayonnaise (about 4 ½ tablespoons total)

Step 3.
Divide among 4 of the slices: 8 lettuce leaves; 8 ounces thinly sliced turkey breast or chicken

Step 4.
Top with another 4 slices bread, mayonnaise side down. Spread the tops with: Mayonnaise (about 1 ½ tablespoons total)

Divide among the sandwiches: 8 lettuce leaves; 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced; 12 slices bacon, cooked until crisp (about 12 ounces); (1 avocado, pitted, peeled, and sliced)

Step 6.
Top with the remaining 4 slices bread, mayonnaise side down. Stab 4 frilly toothpicks through each sandwich midway between the center and each side of the bread. Then, slice the sandwich in an X, from one corner to the opposite corner. Arrange the sandwich triangles in a circle on each plate, filling the void in the center with: Potato chips or potato salad
