Classic Bolognese Sauce

- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 tbsp grated Pecorino cheese
- 1 fully cooked penne pasta
Prepare
- Chop 1 medium onion
- 3 clove garlic, finely chopped

Step 1.
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, finely chopped garlic, and ½ teaspoon salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is softened and translucent, about 10 minutes.

Add 1 pound ground beef to the saucepan. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until the beef is no longer pink and beginning to brown, 5 to 6 minutes.

Stir in one 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.

Stir in ½ cup milk and 3 tablespoons grated Pecorino cheese until well combined. Serve over cooked penne pasta.
