Calcutta Cold Coffee
A refreshing iced coffee from Calcutta, infused with cardamom and served with a cinnamon stick. This sweet, cold beverage offers relief from summer heat.

- 2 tbsp dark-roast instant coffee
- 1 9/13 cups whole milk
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 4 cinnamon sticks

- 1 green cardamom pod, seeds lightly crushed
- 1 black cardamom pod, seeds lightly crushed

Step 1.
Dissolve 2 tbsp dark-roast instant coffee in just enough boiling water to cover it in a small cup. Stir until fully dissolved.

Pour the dissolved coffee into a blender. Add 400ml whole milk, 6 tbsp sugar, and the lightly crushed seeds from 1 green cardamom pod and 1 black cardamom pod. Blend on medium speed until well combined, about 10 seconds.

Set the blended coffee mixture aside at room temperature for 10 minutes to allow the cardamom flavors to infuse.

While the coffee infuses, fill 4 small glasses with crushed ice. Insert one cinnamon stick into each glass.

After 10 minutes, pour the coffee mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or strainer into the prepared glasses, dividing evenly. Serve immediately.
