Let's Prepare

Collect

Gather these ingredients - no prep needed yet.

  • 1 tbsp seasoning salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp celery salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • Blue cheese dressing

Prepare

  • Vegetable oil, for greasing
  • 2 lb turkey wings, flats and drums separated
  • Melt 1/4 cup salted butter

Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Lightly grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with vegetable oil.

  2. Step 2.

In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon seasoning salt, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 tablespoon paprika, 1½ teaspoons ground black pepper, and 1 teaspoon celery salt. Mix well and set aside.

  3. Step 3.

Place the turkey wings (flats and drums separated) in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with 3 tablespoons olive oil and rub the oil all over the wings to coat evenly. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over both sides of the wings.

  4. Step 4.

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 1 hour 35 minutes. Remove from the oven, baste the wings with the pan drippings, and set aside.

  5. Step 5.

In a small bowl, combine ¼ cup melted salted butter and ½ cup hot sauce. Mix well, then pour the mixture evenly over the wings. Return the wings to the oven, uncovered, and bake for another 1 hour 30 minutes, until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender.

  6. Step 6.

Remove the wings from the oven. Serve hot with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks on the side for dipping.
