Fresh oysters broiled on a bed of rock salt until their edges curl, served with lemon wedges and horseradish.

Step 1.
In a metal pie plate or on a baking sheet, make a thick bed of: Rock salt

Step 2.
Adjust a rack so it is 5 inches below the heating element. Preheat the broiler. Scrub well, then shuck, above, leaving the oysters in the half shell: Oysters

Step 3.
Place the oysters on the bed of salt and broil about 2 minutes, until the edges curl. Garnish with: Minced parsley or Lemon and Parsley Butter
