Let's Prepare

Collect

Gather these ingredients - no prep needed yet.

  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp plain or smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 2 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 tsp minced onion
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 1/2 cup turkey or chicken broth

Prepare

  • Vegetable oil, for greasing
  • 2 1/2 lb turkey wings, flats and drums separated
  • 1 large lemon, cut into 4 wedges

Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish or an 8-quart Dutch oven with vegetable oil.

  2. Step 2.

Clean the turkey wings, then rub the surfaces of the wings with the lemon wedges. Do not discard the wedges.

  3. Step 3.

In a large bowl, add the wings and drizzle with 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil or vegetable oil. Sprinkle 1½ tablespoons paprika, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes, 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning, 2 teaspoons seasoning salt, 1 teaspoon minced onion, and 1 teaspoon minced garlic over the wings. Rub the seasonings into the wings evenly.

  4. Step 4.

Place the seasoned wings into the prepared baking dish or Dutch oven.

  5. Step 5.

In the same large bowl, pour 2½ cups turkey or chicken broth over the leftover seasonings. Stir to combine, then pour the broth mixture into the dish with the wings. Add the lemon wedges.

  6. Step 6.

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil or put the lid on the Dutch oven. Bake for 1½ to 2 hours, periodically removing from the oven to baste the wings with the drippings. The wings are done when the meat is tender and starts to fall off the bone.

  7. Step 7.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
